Job Title: English Teacher
Location: Sunderland
Pay rate: £160 - £220 Per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Are you an enthusiastic English Teacher who can spark curiosity and build confidence in reading, writing, and spoken communication?
Schools in Sunderland and GSL Education are looking for a knowledgeable English Teacher to join supportive and forward-thinking teams.
In this role, you will guide learners through a rich and varied curriculum, helping them engage with literature, develop clear written expression, and strengthen their analytical thinking. You will play a key role in creating lessons that are engaging, accessible, and appropriately challenging for all learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality English lessons across the curriculum.
- Inspire students to engage with literature and language.
- Track progress and provide meaningful feedback to support development.
- Differentiate learning to meet a range of abilities and needs.
- Promote a positive, respectful, and focused classroom environment.
Requirements of English Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching English in a school setting.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to plan creative and inclusive lessons.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
