Job Title: Lunchtime Supervisor
Location: Sunderland
Salary: £13 – £17 per hour (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Lunchtime Supervisors to work in schools across Sunderland.
As a Lunchtime Supervisor, you will play an important role in supervising students during lunch breaks, promoting positive behaviour, and ensuring a safe and inclusive environment. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about student wellbeing and enjoy working as part of a supportive school team.
Responsibilities of a Lunchtime Supervisor:
- Supervise students during lunch breaks, both indoors and outdoors
- Promote positive behaviour and ensure student safety at all times
- Encourage positive social interaction and inclusion among students
- Assist students where required during lunchtime activities
- Monitor dining halls, playgrounds, and designated school areas
- Report incidents, accidents, or concerns to relevant school staff
- Support school safeguarding and behaviour policies
- Help maintain a calm, safe, and welcoming environment
Requirements of a Lunchtime Supervisor:
- Experience working with children or young people is desirable
- A friendly, patient, and approachable manner
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage behaviour positively and effectively
- Reliability, punctuality, and a proactive attitude
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
