GSL Education are currently welcoming applications from dependable Cleaners to work in schools across Gateshead. This is a great opportunity to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for pupils and staff.
As a Cleaner, you will play an important role in ensuring school facilities are kept hygienic and well-presented throughout the day.
Prime Responsibilities:
- Clean classrooms, corridors, toilets, and communal areas to a high standard.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
- Refill cleaning and hygiene supplies where needed.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
- Ensure cleaning equipment is used and stored correctly.
- Support in maintaining a safe and tidy school environment.
Essential Requirements of Cleaner:
- Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential.
- Good attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking approach.
- Ability to manage tasks efficiently and follow instructions.
- Understanding of health and safety and hygiene standards.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
