Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Newcastle
Pay rate: £95 - £115 Per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently welcoming applications from caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Newcastle. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils who require additional help with their learning, communication, and personal development.
As a Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will work closely with teachers and pupils to provide tailored support in a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Duties of SEN TA:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with special educational needs.
- Assist in delivering personalised learning activities suited to individual needs.
- Support pupils with communication, social, emotional, and behavioural development.
- Work alongside teachers to implement EHCPs and support strategies.
- Encourage pupil confidence, independence, and engagement in learning.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN.
- Understanding of needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or learning difficulties.
- Patient, caring, and adaptable approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
