Job Title: PE Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Salary: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time
Are you an energetic and passionate PE Teacher ready to inspire students through sport and physical education?
GSL Education are seeking enthusiastic and committed PE Teachers to work in schools across Sheffield.
As a PE Teacher, you will support students across Key Stages while promoting participation, fitness, and wellbeing within the school environment. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated educator to deliver engaging Physical Education lessons and encourage students to develop teamwork, confidence, and sporting skills.
Responsibilities of a PE Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Teach a variety of sports and physical activities across Key Stages
- Encourage participation, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles among students
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress effectively
- Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of learners of varying abilities
- Maintain positive classroom and sports behaviour management
- Support extracurricular sports activities and school events where required
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and school leaders
Requirements of a PE Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- A degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related subject
- Experience teaching PE in schools is desirable
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Experience in coaching different UK sports in schools or with children is beneficial
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- A passion for sport, fitness, and student development
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
