Job Title: Computer Studies Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Salary: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Computer Studies Teachers to work in schools across Sheffield.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated educator to help students develop essential digital, coding, and problem-solving skills. As a Computer Studies Teacher, you will deliver engaging and innovative lessons that prepare students for further education and future careers in technology.

Responsibilities of a Computer Studies Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Computer Studies lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Teach topics including programming, coding, digital literacy, and computer systems
  • Support students in developing technical and problem-solving skills
  • Assess, monitor, and track student progress effectively
  • Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of learners of varying abilities
  • Maintain positive classroom behaviour and a productive learning environment
  • Encourage creativity, innovation, and independent learning
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and school leaders

Requirements of a Computer Studies Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • A degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related subject
  • Experience teaching Computer Studies in schools is desirable
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
  • A passion for technology and student achievement
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
