Job Title: Behaviour Support
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £460 – £650 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time
Are you passionate about supporting students with behavioural and emotional needs?
GSL Education are seeking dedicated and proactive Behaviour Support staff to work in schools across Sheffield.
As Behaviour Support, you will work closely with students who require additional behavioural and emotional guidance, helping them build confidence, improve engagement, and develop positive attitudes towards education.
Responsibilities of Behaviour Support:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with behavioural needs
- Support students with social, emotional, and behavioural challenges
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage engagement in learning
- Implement behaviour management strategies and support plans
- Build strong and positive relationships with students
- Work closely with teachers and pastoral teams to support student wellbeing
- Monitor and record student behaviour, progress, and development
- Maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
Requirements of Behaviour Support:
- Experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs is desirable
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage challenging behaviour positively and effectively
- Experience in education, youth work, coaching, or care settings is beneficial
- A genuine passion for supporting young people
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
