Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are hiring a knowledgeable Computer Studies Teacher to work in schools across Barnsley, delivering engaging lessons that develop students’ understanding of computing, programming, and digital literacy.
In this role, you will plan and deliver structured Computer Studies lessons, supporting learners in developing problem-solving skills, logical thinking, and confidence in using technology within a supportive classroom environment.
About the role:
As a Computer Studies (CS) Teacher, you will play a key role in preparing students for a digital future by delivering high-quality teaching across theoretical and practical computing topics.
Core Responsibilities of Computer Studies Teacher:
- Deliver well-planned Computer Studies lessons aligned with the curriculum
- Teach key concepts such as programming, algorithms, and digital systems
- Support pupils in developing logical reasoning and technical skills
- Encourage independent learning through practical computing tasks
- Maintain strong classroom behaviour and a focused learning environment
- Assess pupil progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
What we are looking for
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Computer Science/ICT in a school setting
- Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
