Job Title: Design and Technology Teacher
Location: Barnsley
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are currently welcoming applications from skilled Design and Technology Teachers to work in schools across Barnsley. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire pupils to develop practical skills, innovation, and confidence through engaging, project-based learning.
As a Design and Technology (DT) Teacher, you will deliver dynamic lessons that encourage pupils to design, create, and evaluate products using a range of materials and techniques.
Key Duties of DT Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging Design and Technology lessons across key stages.
- Teach areas such as product design, resistant materials, and basic engineering principles.
- Support pupils in developing creativity, technical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ensure safe use of tools, equipment, and workshop environments.
- Assess pupil progress and provide clear, constructive feedback.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum development.
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Design and Technology in a school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and practical workshop skills.
- Ability to manage a safe and structured learning environment.
- Enthusiastic and engaging teaching style.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
