Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Barnsley
Pay rate: £460 - £650 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time
Are you a confident and organised Cover Supervisor who can maintain a productive learning environment and support students across different subjects?
Schools in Barnsley and GSL Education are searching for a reliable Cover Supervisor to support during teacher absences.
As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will supervise classes using pre-set lesson materials, ensure students remain focused, and maintain positive classroom behaviour. You will play an important role in supporting continuity of learning throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise classes during teacher absences.
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials to students.
- Maintain positive behaviour and classroom control.
- Support pupils in completing set tasks and activities.
- Follow school safeguarding and behaviour policies.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with young people or in a school setting.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Confident, organised, and proactive approach.
- Ability to manage a classroom independently.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
