Job Title: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Doncaster
Pay rate: £95 per day
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time
Provide personalised support and help pupils with additional needs achieve success both academically and emotionally!
GSL Education are searching for a committed 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to work in schools across Doncaster, supporting pupils with special educational needs on an individual basis.
In this role, you will work closely with a student to provide tailored support, helping them access learning, develop confidence, and engage positively within the school environment.
About the role:
As a 1:1 Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will play a key role in supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, adapting your approach to meet individual learning styles and emotional needs.
Key responsibilities of 1:1 SEN TA:
- Provide one-to-one support for pupils with SEN needs
- Assist with classroom learning and daily routines
- Implement individual support plans and strategies
- Encourage positive behaviour and engagement with learning
- Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff

- Experience working with children or young people with SEN
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
- Ability to build positive and trusting relationships with pupils
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice

- Have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
