Job Title: Behaviour Support Worker
Location: Sheffield
Pay rate: £105 per day
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are searching for a dedicated Behaviour Support Worker to work with schools in Sheffield, supporting students who require additional behavioural and emotional guidance within the school environment.

As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will work closely with teaching and pastoral staff to help students manage behaviour, build resilience, and stay engaged in learning through consistent support and positive relationship building.

Main Duties:

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support for students with behavioural or SEMH needs.
  • Support students in developing positive behaviour and emotional regulation skills.
  • Assist teachers in maintaining a calm and structured classroom environment.
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with students to encourage engagement.
  • Help implement behaviour management strategies and support plans.
  • Monitor student progress and report concerns or improvements to staff.

Requirements of Behaviour Support Worker:

  • Previous experience working with young people, particularly those with behavioural needs, is desirable.
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
  • A patient, resilient, and supportive approach.
  • Ability to motivate and build positive relationships with students.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
