Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant
Location: Doncaster
Pay rate: £105 per day

Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time
Are you a compassionate and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs?
Schools in Doncaster and GSL Education are hiring a motivated Social, Emotional, and Mental Health Teaching Assistant (SEMH TA) to provide consistent academic and emotional support to pupils.
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who may experience challenges with behaviour, emotional regulation, or engagement in learning. You will help create a calm and structured environment where pupils feel supported, understood, and encouraged to achieve positive outcomes.
Key Duties:
- Provide one-to-one and small group SEMH support.
- Support pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour management.
- Assist students during lessons and unstructured times.
- Implement behaviour strategies and support plans.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and pastoral teams.
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience working with SEMH or similar additional needs.
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
- A patient, calm, and resilient approach.
- Ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
