Year 2 Teacher – Primary School | Harlow
Full-Time | Long-Term | September Start
GSL Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and well-regarded primary school in Harlow to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 2 Teacher for a full-time, long-term role starting in September.

About the Role
As the Year 2 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and creative lessons that support pupils through this important stage of Key Stage 1. The school is looking for a teacher who can build confidence in young learners while creating a classroom atmosphere that is calm, inclusive, and inspiring.
You will work alongside a friendly and collaborative staff team who value teamwork, creativity, and high-quality teaching.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
- Supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
- Preparing pupils for end of KS1 assessments in a supportive and encouraging way
- Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Monitoring and assessing pupil progress effectively
- Working closely with teaching assistants and colleagues
- Building positive relationships with parents and carers
- Contributing to the wider life of the school community
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- A nurturing, enthusiastic, and adaptable teaching style
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- A genuine passion for primary education and pupil development
