Job Title: Computer Studies Teacher

Salary: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking talented and motivated Computer Studies Teachers to work in schools across Doncaster.
As a Computer Studies Teacher, you will help students develop the technical knowledge, digital fluency, and computational skills they need to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven world. This is a rewarding opportunity for an educator who wants to make computing genuinely exciting and accessible for every learner in their classroom.
Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging Computer Studies lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, covering areas such as programming, data representation, networks, and online safety
- Build students' computational thinking and logical problem-solving skills progressively throughout the year
- Prepare pupils effectively for GCSE assessments and support their broader digital literacy
- Assess student understanding regularly and provide targeted, constructive feedback
- Tailor teaching methods to meet the needs of learners across the full ability range
- Stay current with developments in technology and bring relevant, real-world context into lessons
- Support departmental planning and contribute positively to the wider school community
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
- A degree in Computer Science, Computing, Information Technology, or a related field
- Experience teaching Computer Studies or Computing at secondary level is desirable
- Strong subject knowledge across programming languages, hardware, software, and digital systems
- The ability to break down complex concepts and make them accessible and engaging
- A proactive, student-focused, and professional approach to the classroom
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to complete a new application)
