Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Doncaster
Salary: £460 – £650 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking dependable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work in schools across Doncaster.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will take charge of classes in a teacher's absence, ensuring pupils remain focused, well-behaved, and productively engaged with pre-set work. Responsibilities:
- Take charge of classes across a variety of subjects during teacher absences
- Distribute and oversee pre-prepared lesson materials, keeping students on task throughout
- Uphold a structured, calm, and positive learning environment at all times
- Address and manage pupil behaviour in line with the school's policies
- Provide support and encouragement to students as they work through assigned activities
- Escalate any concerns or incidents to the relevant teaching or pastoral staff
- Promote a culture of respect, inclusion, and safety within the classroom
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people in any setting is desirable
- The self-assurance to manage a class independently and with authority
- Clear, effective communication skills and strong attention to detail
- An organised approach with the ability to follow instructions and adapt quickly
- A patient, dependable, and approachable manner
- Enthusiasm for supporting young people and contributing to their education
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to complete a new application)
