Job Title: Sports Coach
Location: Sheffield
Pay rate: £460 - £650 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time 

GSL Education are currently seeking individuals with experience in sports, fitness, or coaching to work in schools across Sheffield.

This role is advertised as Sports Coach; however, the position is focused on supporting students within classroom and school environments. You will play an important role in helping pupils stay engaged in lessons, encouraging positive behaviour, and supporting staff throughout the school day.

This opportunity is ideal for candidates who are confident leading groups, building positive relationships, and motivating young people.

About the Role

As a Sports Coach, you will support teachers and students across different areas of the school. The role includes classroom support, supervising pupils, and assisting with behaviour and engagement during lessons.

Your background in coaching or fitness will help you create a positive presence within the school and encourage students to participate and stay focused.

Main Responsibilities of Sports Coach:

  • Support students during lessons and classroom activities
  • Assist teachers in maintaining a productive learning environment
  • Supervise classes when required and follow school procedures
  • Encourage positive behaviour and student participation
  • Work with small groups and individual students needing additional support
  • Assist with the general running of the school day

Requirements of Sports Coach:

  • Experience in sports coaching, fitness, or similar backgrounds
  • Confidence managing groups of young people
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional, flexible, and reliable attitude
  • Interest in working within education settings
