GSL are currently seeking a dedicated and proactive School Support Worker to join a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Witham. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young people, promoting positive behaviour, and helping students thrive both academically and personally within the school environment.
You will work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to help maintain a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment where students feel engaged, motivated, and supported throughout the school day.
Your Role Will Involve:
- Providing classroom support to students across a range of subjects
- Assisting teachers with behaviour management and classroom engagement
- Supporting students to build confidence, resilience, and positive learning habits
- Promoting a calm, positive, and inclusive school environment
- Working collaboratively with pastoral staff and teachers to support student wellbeing and progress
- Supporting students during lessons, transitions, and wider school activities where required

- Has experience working with children or young people in a school, care, or youth work setting
- Is calm, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Has strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Is passionate about supporting young people and making a positive impact
