Job Title: Trauma Informed Practitioner
Location: Walsall
Pay rate: £95–£110 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Support pupils with additional emotional and behavioural needs through a compassionate and trauma-informed approach!
GSL Education are currently recruiting a passionate Trauma Informed Practitioner to work in schools across Walsall.
As a Trauma Informed Practitioner, you will work closely with pupils who have experienced adversity or trauma, helping them feel safe, supported, and engaged in education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted emotional and behavioural support to pupils.
- Implement trauma-informed strategies and interventions.
- Support pupils with emotional regulation and positive coping skills.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams.
- Contribute to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing practices.
Requirements of Trauma Informed Practitioner:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, trauma, or behavioural needs.
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice and de-escalation techniques.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Patient, resilient, and empathetic approach.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
