Salary: £90–£120 per day (dependent on experience)

A supportive secondary school in Middlesbrough is seeking a confident and motivated Graduate Cover Supervisor to join their team. This Graduate Cover Supervisor role is ideal for graduates looking to gain valuable classroom experience before progressing into teacher training or a long-term career in education.
The successful Graduate Cover Supervisor will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons and managing classroom behaviour in the absence of the class teacher. As a Graduate Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining a positive and engaging learning environment across the school day.
Key Responsibilities of the Graduate Cover Supervisor:
- Supervising classes and delivering pre-set work.
- Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Ensuring pupils remain on task and engaged in learning.
- Providing feedback to teaching staff following lessons.
- Supporting pupils with questions related to the work set.
- Promoting a safe and positive learning environment.
The Ideal Graduate Cover Supervisor Will:
- Hold a degree in any subject area.
- Be interested in pursuing a career in education.
- Have strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Be confident, adaptable and professional.
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply).
- Have a fully checkable work history.
