Job Title: Computer Studies Teacher
Location: Wakefield
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a knowledgeable Computer Studies Teacher to work with schools in Wakefield, delivering engaging lessons that build students’ confidence in computing, programming, and digital literacy.

As a Computer Studies (CS) Teacher, you will deliver well-structured lessons that develop students’ understanding of computer systems, coding, and technology, while encouraging logical thinking and problem-solving in a supportive classroom environment.

Main Duties:

  • Deliver high-quality Computer Studies lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Teach topics such as programming, algorithms, data representation, and IT systems.
  • Encourage problem-solving, logical thinking, and digital skills.
  • Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment.
  • Assess student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum delivery.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience working as a Computer Studies or ICT Teacher in a school setting.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
