Job Title: Computer Studies Teacher

Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are searching for a skilled Computer Studies Teacher to work in schools across Barnsley, delivering engaging and structured lessons that develop students’ understanding of technology and its real-world applications.

In this role, you will plan and deliver high-quality Computer Studies lessons, supporting learners in developing coding skills, digital literacy, and logical thinking within a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

About the role

As a Computer Studies (CS) Teacher, you will play a key role in equipping students with the skills needed for a technology-driven future, helping them build confidence in both theoretical and practical aspects of computing.

Core responsibilities of Computer Studies Teacher:

  • Deliver well-planned Computer Studies lessons aligned with the curriculum
  • Teach key concepts such as programming, algorithms, and digital systems
  • Support pupils in developing problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Maintain strong classroom behaviour and a focused learning environment
  • Assess pupil progress and provide clear, constructive feedback

What we are looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Computer Science/ICT in a school setting
  • Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
