Design Technology Teacher
Location: Pocklington, East Yorkshire
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full Time, Temporary Cover
Daily Rate: £160 – £200 per day
GSL Education are currently seeking a Design Technology Teacher to work at a well-regarded secondary school in the Pocklington area, providing full-time cover. This role is available for an immediate start and is ideal for a teacher looking for a teaching-focused position with no planning or marking responsibilities.

The Design Technology department is well-resourced and plays a key role in delivering a broad and engaging curriculum to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
The Role
- Deliver pre-planned Design Technology lessons to students across KS3 and KS4.
- Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.
- Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
- Ensure students remain engaged and on task throughout lessons.
- Follow lesson plans provided by the department – no planning or marking required.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience.
- Experience teaching Design Technology at secondary level.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- A flexible and adaptable approach.
- The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
