Job Title: Science Teacher

Salary: Up to £200 per day

A number of secondary schools in Barnsley are seeking a confident and enthusiastic Science Teacher to deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

About the Role:
As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering well-planned lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics at KS3 and KS4. You will be expected to maintain high standards of classroom behaviour, support student progress and create an engaging learning environment that encourages curiosity and achievement in science.
Responsibilities:

Deliver Science lessons across KS3 and KS4

Plan and adapt lessons to meet student needs and abilities

Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

Assess and monitor student progress effectively

Create a structured and engaging learning environment

Support students in developing scientific understanding and skills

Work collaboratively with departmental and pastoral staff
Requirements:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (desirable)

Experience teaching Science in secondary school settings

Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry and Physics

Confident classroom and behaviour management skills

Adaptable, professional and organised approach

Ability to inspire and engage students in learning
