SEN Teacher – Specialist Setting
Location: Scarborough
Salary: £32,916 – £51,048 per annum
Contract: Full Time / Part Time
Start Date: Immediate or September 2026
GSL Education are recruiting a dedicated SEN Teacher to work within a specialist setting in Scarborough.
About the School
This specialist provision supports pupils with a range of additional needs including SEMH, ASC and learning difficulties. The school provides a structured and nurturing environment focused on personalised learning and emotional wellbeing.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to pupil needs
- Support pupils with complex learning and behavioural needs
- Adapt teaching strategies to ensure engagement
- Work collaboratively with support staff
- Monitor and assess pupil progress
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working in SEN or specialist settings preferred
- Strong understanding of additional needs
- Patient and resilient approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
