Full Time | Permanent | Term Time Only
Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 2:40pm

We are currently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to join a well-established and forward-thinking secondary school in Fareham. The school is known for its inclusive ethos, strong pastoral support, and commitment to helping every student achieve their full potential.
The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, no two days are the same. You’ll play a vital role in supporting students both academically and emotionally, working closely with teachers and the wider support team.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting students in the classroom across a range of subjects
- Working 1:1 or in small groups with pupils who require additional support
- Assisting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or additional learning needs
- Encouraging engagement, confidence, and independence in learning
- Helping to manage behaviour in a positive and proactive manner
- Supporting the delivery of tailored learning strategies
This is a varied and hands-on role, perfect for someone who enjoys building relationships, thinking on their feet, and making a meaningful impact every day.
What We’re Looking For
- Ideally some experience working in a school or educational setting
- We also welcome candidates with transferable skills (e.g. youth work, coaching, care work, mentoring)
- A positive, proactive, and outgoing personality
- A genuine passion for supporting young people
- A willingness to learn and develop within the role
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
