Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Wakefield
Salary: £460 – £650 per week
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term / Day-to-day
Start Date: Immediately

About the Role:
In this role, you will supervise classes during teacher absences, delivering pre-set work and ensuring students remain engaged. You will play a key role in maintaining continuity in learning, managing behaviour effectively and supporting students to stay focused throughout the school day.
Responsibilities:

Supervise whole classes using pre-prepared lesson materials

Maintain classroom discipline in line with school policies

Encourage students to stay on task and complete assigned work

Provide support and guidance where needed during lessons

Record and report on student behaviour and progress

Contribute to a positive and orderly learning environment
Requirements:

Experience working with young people is advantageous

Strong communication and classroom management skills

Confidence to lead a class independently

A calm, adaptable and organised approach

Commitment to supporting students in their education
