Job Title: Learning Support Assistant - Secondary focus
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £460 – £600 per week
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term / Day-to-day
Start Date: Immediately

About the Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant with a secondary focus, you will work closely with teaching staff to provide targeted support to students across KS3 and KS4. You will help pupils stay engaged, manage behaviour positively and build confidence in their learning, both in and out of the classroom.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-class support to students across a range of subjects

  • Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning

  • Support students with additional needs, including behavioural and emotional needs

  • Help maintain a calm, structured and focused learning environment

  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in lessons

  • Assist with preparing resources and adapting materials where required

Requirements:

  • Experience working with secondary-aged students is desirable

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • A calm, patient and resilient approach

  • Ability to manage behaviour effectively and consistently

  • A genuine commitment to supporting young people’s progress
