Job Title: Behaviour Support
Location: Sheffield
Pay rate: £460 - £650 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently hiring dedicated Behaviour Support staff to work in schools across Sheffield. This role offers the opportunity to support pupils who may find managing behaviour and emotions challenging within a school setting.

As a Behaviour Support member, you will work closely with pupils to encourage positive choices, improve engagement, and support their overall wellbeing in education.

Key Duties of Behaviour Support:

  • Support pupils who display challenging behaviour both in and out of the classroom.
  • Encourage positive attitudes towards learning and school routines.
  • Work alongside teaching staff to implement behaviour support strategies.
  • Provide consistent 1:1 and small group intervention where required.
  • Help pupils develop emotional regulation and social skills.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe and structured learning environment.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people in an educational or support role.
  • A calm, confident, and resilient approach to behaviour management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Ability to respond effectively to challenging situations.
  • A genuine commitment to supporting pupil development and inclusion.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
