Job Title: Sports Coach
Location: Sheffield
Pay rate: £460 - £650 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time
GSL Education are recruiting individuals with a background in sports, fitness, or coaching to work within schools across Sheffield.
The position is advertised as Sports Coach to attract candidates with strong people skills and experience managing groups. The role itself is based in school settings, where you will support students in lessons, help manage behaviour, and keep them engaged in their learning.

Sports Coach - About the Role:
You will work closely with teachers and support staff, assisting students across different subjects and year groups. The role focuses on classroom support, supervision, and maintaining a positive and focused atmosphere throughout the school day.
Your coaching experience will be valuable in building rapport, encouraging participation, and supporting students to stay on track.
Key Responsibilities of Sports Coach:
- Support learning during lessons alongside teaching staff
- Supervise classes when needed and ensure students follow instructions
- Assist with behaviour management and promote a positive environment
- Engage students using practical and motivational approaches
- Provide support to small groups and individual pupils
- Help maintain daily routines and classroom organisation
Requirements of Sports Coach:
- Background in sports, coaching, fitness, or similar
- Confidence working with young people in group settings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional, flexible, and reliable attitude
- Interest in supporting students within education
