Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant
Location: Wolverhampton
Pay rate: £95–£120 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Are you a compassionate and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs?
Schools in Wolverhampton and GSL Education are seeking a passionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to provide consistent support to pupils who require additional guidance.
As a Social, Emotional, and Mental Health Teaching Assistant (SEMH TA), you will work closely with students who may experience challenges with behaviour, emotional regulation, or engagement in learning. You will help create a calm and structured environment where pupils feel supported and encouraged to make positive choices.
Key Duties:
- Provide one-to-one and small group SEMH support.
- Support pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour.
- Assist students during lessons and unstructured times.
- Implement behaviour strategies and support plans.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and pastoral teams.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with SEMH or similar needs.
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
- A patient, calm, and resilient approach.
- Ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for a new one.
