Job Title: Behaviour Mentor
Location: Wolverhampton
Pay rate: £95–£110 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Do you enjoy supporting young people and helping them overcome barriers to learning through positive guidance and mentoring?
GSL Education are looking for a motivated Behaviour Mentor to work with schools in Wolverhampton, supporting students who require additional behavioural and emotional support to engage successfully in education.
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students, teachers, and pastoral teams to promote positive behaviour, build confidence, and help pupils develop strategies to manage their emotions and actions effectively.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one or small group mentoring support for students with behavioural needs.
- Support students in developing self-regulation and positive coping strategies.
- Assist in managing behaviour within the classroom and wider school environment.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with students to encourage engagement.
- Work collaboratively with staff to implement behaviour support plans.
- Monitor progress and report updates to relevant staff members.
Requirements of Behaviour Mentor:
- Previous experience working with young people, particularly those with behavioural or SEMH needs, is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, resilient, and supportive approach.
- Ability to build positive relationships and motivate students.
- A commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
