Job Title: Computer Studies Teacher
Location: Wakefield
Salary: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Computer Studies Teachers to work in schools across Wakefield.

As a Computer Studies Teacher, you will play a key role in preparing students for a technology-driven world. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated educator to deliver high-quality computing lessons and support students in developing essential digital, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities of a Computer Studies Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Computer Studies lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Teach computing across Key Stages 3, 4 & 5, including programming, IT, and digital literacy
  • Encourage students to develop problem-solving and logical thinking skills
  • Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback
  • Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of students with varying abilities
  • Maintain strong classroom management and promote positive behaviour
  • Support students’ academic and personal development
  • Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development

Requirements of a Computer Studies Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • A degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
  • Experience teaching Computer Studies in a school setting is desirable
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • A passion for technology and education
  • Ability to engage and motivate learners of all abilities
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
