Job Title: Maths Teacher
Location: Wakefield
Salary: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teachers to work in schools across Wakefield.
As a Maths Teacher, you will play a vital role in helping students achieve success and develop a positive attitude towards mathematics. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated educator to deliver high-quality maths lessons and support students in developing confidence, analytical thinking, and strong academic foundations.
Maths Teacher Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Teach mathematics across Key Stages 3, 4 & 5, preparing students for assessments and exams
- Develop students’ problem-solving and analytical skills
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback
- Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners
- Maintain strong classroom management and promote positive behaviour
- Support students’ academic and personal development
- Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development
Requirements of a Maths Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- A degree in Mathematics or a related subject
- Experience teaching Maths in a school setting is desirable
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities
- A proactive and professional approach to teaching
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
