Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Wakefield
Salary: £460 – £650 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking reliable and proactive Cover Supervisors to work in schools across Wakefield.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes across a range of subjects, ensuring students remain on task and engaged with pre-set work. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain valuable classroom experience or progress into teaching.
Main Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor:
- Supervise classes during teacher absences across various subjects
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and ensure students stay on task
- Maintain a positive, calm, and productive classroom environment
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Support students in completing assigned work and activities
- Provide guidance and assistance where required during lessons
- Report any issues or concerns to teaching staff
- Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment
Requirements of a Cover Supervisor:
- Experience working with young people is desirable
- Confidence in managing a classroom independently
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to follow lesson plans and instructions effectively
- A flexible, reliable, and proactive approach
- A genuine interest in education and student development
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
