Job Title: Sports Coach
Location: Worksop
Pay rate: £460 - £650 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time 

GSL Education are looking to recruit confident and active individuals with experience in sports, coaching, or fitness to support schools across Worksop.

The role is titled Sports Coach, but the position is based within school settings. You will be working in classrooms and around the school, supporting students with their learning, helping manage behaviour, and keeping them engaged throughout the day.

This is a great fit for those who are used to leading sessions, working with groups, and encouraging positive attitudes, and now want to bring those skills into education.

Sports Coach - About the Role:

You will be part of the wider school support team, assisting teachers and working with students across different subjects. The role focuses on maintaining structure in the classroom, supporting learning, and helping pupils stay on track.

Your background in coaching will help you build strong connections with students and create a positive, focused environment.

Prime Responsibilities of Sports Coach:

  • Work alongside teachers to support lesson delivery
  • Supervise classes when required and ensure students remain focused
  • Support behaviour and reinforce school expectations
  • Motivate and engage students using coaching techniques
  • Provide support to small groups and individual pupils
  • Assist with general day-to-day school routines

Requirements of Sports Coach:

  • Background in sports, coaching, fitness, or similar roles
  • Confidence working with young people in group settings
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable, adaptable, and professional approach
  • Interest in working within a school environment
