Job Title: Inclusion Base Manager
Location: Newcastle
Pay rate: £110- £150 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are searching for an experienced Inclusion Base Manager to work in one of our partnership secondary schools in Newcastle, taking the lead in setting up and managing an Inclusion Base to support students with Special Education Needs (SEN).

This is a unique opportunity to shape and establish a supportive provision that enables pupils to overcome barriers to learning, develop confidence, and successfully reintegrate into mainstream education where appropriate.

About the role:

As an Inclusion Base Manager, you will be responsible for setting up, developing, and overseeing the day-to-day running of the Inclusion Base. You will work closely with senior leadership, SENCOs, and support staff to ensure effective provision for students requiring additional support.

Core responsibilities of Inclusion Base Manager:

  • Set up and manage the Inclusion Base within the school
  • Support students with SEN needs through targeted interventions
  • Develop and implement personalised support plans
  • Lead and support staff working within the Inclusion Base
  • Monitor pupil progress, behaviour, and wellbeing
  • Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies
  • Promote inclusive practice across the school

  • Experience working with students with SEN and/or SEMH needs
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills
  • Ability to develop and implement effective support strategies
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • A proactive, resilient, and solution-focused approach
  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education

  • Have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
