Are you an experienced and motivated Inclusion Base Manager looking for a rewarding opportunity in Sunderland?

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Inclusion Base Manager to work in one of our partnership secondary schools in Sunderland. This exciting role involves helping to establish and develop the school’s Inclusion Base, creating a supportive environment for students with Special Educational Needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong and organised professional who is passionate about inclusion, student wellbeing, and helping young people overcome barriers to learning.

Key Responsibilities of the Inclusion Base Manager:

  • Lead the set-up and day-to-day running of the Inclusion Base.
  • Support students with SEN needs through targeted interventions and pastoral care.
  • Work closely with the SENCO, teaching staff, and pastoral teams.
  • Develop strategies to improve engagement, behaviour, and attendance.
  • Create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records.

Requirements for the Inclusion Base Manager role:

  • Previous experience working with students with SEN, SEMH, or behavioural needs.
  • Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Experience within a secondary school setting is desirable.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
