Autism Support Teaching Assistant (ASC)
Location: York
Salary: £88 – £110 per day
Contract: Full Time / Part Time
Start Date: Immediate
GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Autism Support Teaching Assistant to work within a specialist setting in York.

This inclusive provision supports pupils with a strong focus on Autism (ASC), offering structured routines, visual learning strategies and a calm environment to help pupils access education successfully. Staff work collaboratively to provide consistent and personalised support.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Autism
- Implement structured routines and visual timetables
- Support communication and social interaction
- Assist pupils in accessing lessons
- Work closely with teachers and SEN staff
Requirements
- Experience supporting pupils with ASC / Autism
- Understanding of structured support strategies
- Patient and consistent approach
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
