A highly supportive mainstream primary school with a dedicated SEN/Inclusion Provision is looking to appoint an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately.

If you have experience in EYFS or KS1 and a strong understanding of SEN support, this is a role where you can make a genuine impact from day one.

About the Role – SEN Teaching Assistant (Inclusion Provision)

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils within the Inclusion/SEN Provision on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Work predominantly with EYFS and KS1 pupils with additional needs
  • Support children with Autism, Speech & Language needs, and SEMH
  • Use visual supports, structured routines, and communication strategies
  • Support emotional regulation and engagement in learning
  • Work closely with the SENCO and experienced provision staff

This is a hands-on, specialist role requiring someone confident working with pupils who may need high levels of support, consistency, and patience.

  • Experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant
  • Strong background in EYFS or KS1
  • Understanding of Autism, communication needs, and early development
  • Calm, patient, and resilient approach
  • Confident supporting behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Ability to build strong, trusting relationships
