Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Pay rate: £85-£110 Per Day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently welcoming applications from reliable Cover Supervisors to work in schools across Cleveland. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to gain valuable experience in education or progress towards a teaching career.
As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will be responsible for leading lessons in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring pupils remain focused and engaged.
Key Duties of Cover Supervisor:
- Supervise whole classes using pre-prepared lesson plans.
- Maintain a calm, positive, and well-managed classroom environment.
- Manage pupil behaviour in line with school policies.
- Support pupils with their work and keep them on task.
- Ensure continuity of learning during teacher absences.
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil behaviour and lesson outcomes.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience working with young people, ideally in a school or similar setting.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Confident in leading a classroom independently.
- Flexible, reliable, and well-organised approach.
- Ability to adapt to different subjects and situations.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
