Job Title: Attendance Officer
Location: Sheffield
Pay rate: £460 - £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are looking for a proactive and organised Attendance Officer to join a school in Sheffield. The Attendance Officer will monitor, track, and improve student attendance, working closely with staff, students, and parents to ensure consistent engagement with education.
Prime Responsibilities of Attendance Officer:
- Monitor daily attendance and maintain accurate records.
- Follow up on absences, lateness, and attendance concerns.
- Work with families to address barriers to regular attendance.
- Implement attendance improvement strategies and action plans.
- Liaise with teaching staff, safeguarding teams, and external agencies.
- Ensure compliance with school policies and statutory requirements.
Requirements:
- Experience in an administrative or pastoral role within an educational setting is desirable.
- Strong organisational and data management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion.
- Proactive and solution-focused approach.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
