Job Title: SEMH Teacher
Location: Rotherham
Salary: Up to £200 per day
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time, Flexible / Day-to-day / Long-term
Start Date: Immediately
A number of specialist and mainstream schools in Rotherham are seeking dedicated SEMH Teachers to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, delivering high-quality, tailored learning experiences.

About the Role:
As a SEMH Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons adapted to meet individual needs, while supporting students who may present with challenging behaviour or additional emotional barriers to learning. You will play a key role in creating a calm, structured and supportive classroom where progress and confidence can develop.
Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver tailored lessons to meet SEMH needs

Manage classroom behaviour using consistent and supportive strategies

Create a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment

Build strong relationships with pupils to support engagement

Differentiate learning to meet a range of abilities and needs

Work closely with support staff and pastoral teams

Track and report on pupil progress and wellbeing
Requirements:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (desirable)

Experience working with SEMH or additional needs

Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
-
Calm, resilient and empathetic approach

Ability to adapt teaching to individual learner needs

Commitment to supporting vulnerable young people
