Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Dinnington
Salary: £460 – £600 per week
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term / Day-to-day
Start Date: Immediately

About the Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who require additional support to access the curriculum. You will assist in delivering personalised learning strategies, support classroom engagement and help create a positive and structured learning environment where every child can succeed.

Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with SEN on a 1:1 basis and in small groups

  • Assist the class teacher with adapted learning activities

  • Help implement individual education plans (IEPs)

  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning

  • Provide emotional and practical support to pupils where needed

  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom environment

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • A patient, calm and empathetic approach

  • Ability to adapt to individual pupil needs

  • A genuine commitment to supporting children’s learning and development
