Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Wakefield
Salary: £460 – £650 per week
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term / Day-to-day
Start Date: Immediately

About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during teacher absences, delivering pre-prepared work and ensuring students remain on task. You will play a key role in maintaining a calm and productive learning environment while supporting positive behaviour across the classroom.
Responsibilities:

Supervise classes and deliver pre-set lesson materials

Maintain effective classroom management and behaviour standards

Ensure students remain focused and complete assigned work

Provide clear instructions and basic support during lessons

Report on student behaviour and lesson outcomes

Support a safe and structured learning environment
Requirements:

Experience working with young people in an educational setting is desirable

Strong communication and classroom management skills

Confident, calm and professional approach

Ability to adapt to different subjects and situations

A genuine interest in supporting student learning and progress
