Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Whickham
Pay rate: £95 -£115 Per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are looking for a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join schools in Whickham. The Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) will work closely with teachers and SEN staff to provide tailored support, ensuring every pupil can access learning and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN.
- Assist in adapting lesson materials to meet individual needs.
- Support students’ social, emotional, and academic development.
- Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff.
- Follow safeguarding procedures and maintain a safe learning environment.
Requirements of SEN TA:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN.
- Patient, empathetic, and supportive approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
- Commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
