Job Title: Psychology Graduate
Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne
Salary: £100 – £130 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time
Are you a Psychology Graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in a school setting?
GSL Education are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Psychology Graduates to work in schools across Newcastle Upon Tyne.
As a Psychology Graduate, you will work closely with teachers and pastoral teams to support students with a range of needs, helping them to engage with learning and develop positive behaviours. This is an excellent opportunity for a Psychology Graduate who is looking to build experience in education, child psychology, or mental health support.
Responsibilities of a Psychology Graduate:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students
- Support students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
- Assist in managing behaviour and promoting positive engagement
- Work alongside teachers to deliver tailored support strategies
- Help students overcome barriers to learning and participation
- Support students’ emotional wellbeing and confidence
- Monitor and report on student progress and behaviour
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
Psychology Graduate Requirements:
- A degree in Psychology or a related field
- Interest in working with children, young people, or mental health
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Experience in education, care, or support roles is desirable
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
