About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Fareham.
This role involves working closely with class teachers to support pupils across the classroom, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment where every child can succeed.
You will support children in both group and individual settings, adapting your approach to meet a range of learning and behavioural needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging primary lessons
- Provide classroom-based support across a range of subjects
- Work with pupils 1:1 and in small groups where required
- Support children with learning, engagement, and classroom participation
- Help manage classroom routines and positive behaviour strategies
- Encourage confidence, independence, and a love of learning
- Assist in creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment

Essential Requirements
- Level 3 Childcare qualification (or equivalent)
- Relevant experience working with children in an educational, childcare, or youth setting
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Nursery Assistant, Youth Worker, or similar
- Enjoy working with primary-aged children (4–11)
- Be patient, caring, and approachable
- Have strong communication and teamwork skills
- Be proactive, adaptable, and supportive in approach
- Be committed to making a positive impact in education
- Be passionate about supporting children’s development
