Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Dinnington
Pay rate: £460 - £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are currently welcoming applications from passionate SEN Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Dinnington. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils who require additional help to access learning and develop key life skills.

As a Special Education Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils and staff to provide tailored support in a structured and nurturing environment.

Main Duties of SEN TA:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with special educational needs.
  • Assist in delivering personalised learning activities based on individual needs.
  • Support pupils with communication, social, and emotional development.
  • Work alongside teachers to implement EHCPs and support plans.
  • Help manage behaviour and promote positive engagement in learning.
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN.
  • Understanding of different needs such as ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
  • Patient, caring, and adaptable approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
