Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant
Location: Dinnington
Pay rate: £460 - £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time
Support pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs to engage positively in education and reach their potential!
GSL Education are currently recruiting a committed Social, Emotional, and Mental Health Teaching Assistant (SEMH TA) to work in schools across Dinnington.
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils who require additional emotional, behavioural, and learning support, helping them build confidence and resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs.
- Assist in managing behaviour and supporting emotional regulation.
- Support teachers in delivering structured and inclusive lessons.
- Implement behaviour strategies and personalised support plans.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
Requirements of SEMH TA:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs.
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
- Calm, patient, and resilient approach.
- Ability to support pupils in challenging situations.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
